Laura Nelson is a designer/maker of contemporary jewellery who likes to explore different materials and processes. Her work is inspired by textures that often become overlooked from day to day. At The National Festival of Making, Laura was presented with a One to Watch Award - 2018 from The Crafts Council. As part of South East Makers Club Laura's workshop allows you to make your own unique piece of jewellery where she will guide you through designing your own necklace through to making the final piece. Through the process you will combine a precious material, silver with a recycled plastic made from items that are discarded daily - such as yoghurt pots. This workshop is inspired by Laura's current collection.
SUNDAY 16 SEPTEMBER
Candle making workshop
